It was a pleasant evening, a little cool for August, but comfortable for a walk. Several times we stopped along the way to pick and eat the last of the seasons blueberries. We found a few ripe dewberries, one for each of us to taste. Along the way, Sarah gathered a bouquet of wildflowers.
It took a little searching to find the bench once we got out there, but finally we saw it in a quiet spot, lush with ferns and abuzz with the biggest crop of mosquitos yet in this bumper season of the little beasts. We admired the bench, then Bruce and Sarah sat down to arrange the bouquet Sarah had gathered. We took some pictures and enjoyed the bench and setting. When the mosquitos threatened to carry us away we decided to take ourselves back home.

I'm a little slow in getting caught up on blogs - but the photos and the bench are beautiful. I have a feeling the snow will make it tricky for me to find it when I get home, but I sure hope I get to visit it soon. (I could do with out the mosquitoes as well, though.)
We went back in that area last March. Winter may not be a bad time to visit it.
